What is JobSniper?

JobSniper is a sophisticated full-service productivity tool that helps jobseekers quickly and easily focus their career search, making the most of their online employment efforts.
Our Meta-Search Technology, Search Agents, and Career-Related Information make it possible for jobseekers to find the resources best suited to their employment needs.
Simply stated, JobSniper is the best place to start when looking for a job or career-related information.

How do I search by location?

Although JobSniper offers a number of ways to search by location, results from each search engine will vary depending on the capabilities of the sites searched.
US: When searching by location, you have 2 options.

Search by state only- Select state from the "State" drop down list
Search by city and state- Type the name of the city in the "City" field. Select state from the "State" drop down list

Canada: When searching by location, you have 2 options.

Search by province only- Select state from the "Province" drop down list
Search by city and province - Type the name of the city in the "City" field. Select province from the "province" drop down list
To keep your search targeted, do not select:

'Search sites that group all of Canada together?
'Search sites outside Canada that group Canada with other 'International' jobs?'

UK: When searching by location, you have only 1 option.

Search by city or area- Type the name of the city, region or country in the "City/Area" field. Select province from the "province" drop down list

To keep your search targeted, do not select:

'Search sites that group all of UK together?'
'Search sites outside UK that group UK with other 'International' jobs?'

Can I search by Country?

The country selector located on the top right hand side of every screen allows you access to country specific job boards.
Although you can access these country specific job boards, it is still necessary to choose the state or province for searches within the US and Canada.
At this time we do not allow you to search all the jobs within a country at one time except in the UK. By leaving the "City/Area" field blank, you can effectively search all available jobs in the UK.

Can I search more than one State or Province at a time?

At this time, the only way to search multiple States or Provinces is by setting up multiple search agents. You may activate up to 5 independent search agents per account.
But, by leaving the "City/Area" field blank during a UK search, you can effectively search all available jobs in the UK.

What is an Advanced Search?

The Advanced Search feature allows you to select additional job boards for your search.
You can select as many or as few as you would like, but remember, the more engines you select the longer it will take to return your results.

How do I submit my resume?

There is currently no feature in JobSniper that allows users to submit, store, or edit resumes.
If you submitted your resume during the Career Evaluation, Please check back with us in the future, as we are always expanding our line of products and services.

What is a Job Board?

A Job Board is a web site where HR, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers go to post job openings and find employees. Job Boards on the Internet have become the preferred way to find candidates.
JobSniper helps you to quickly identify the sites with the most opportunities for your qualifications.

Where do I find Job Board reviews?

To find job board reviews, select the Resources tab and select the "Career Site Reviews" link.

How do I add my review of a Career Site?

To add your own review of a career site:

Select the Resources tab and select the "Career Site Reviews" link

Select the career site you would like to review from the list provided

Select the "Add your review" link at the bottom of the page

Follow the instructions and select the Submit button when complete

How do I suggest a Job Board for the JobSniper search engine?

To request the addition of a job board to JobSniper, send E-mail to info@jobsniper.com.

How Do I set up a Search Agent?

To set up a search agent, you must first register for an account. To register, all you need is a valid e-mail address and the password of your choosing.
To begin, click on the Search Agent tab located along the top of every JobSniper page. Follow the instructions for "New Users."
Once registered, you will be sent to the Search Agent homepage. Click "Add a new Search Agent" and follow the step-by-step instructions.
Remember, if you want to stop receiving e-mail notifications from your Search Agent, login and deactivate your agent.

What do I do if I forget my password?

Choose the Forgot your password? link on the Search Agent login page beneath the Returning Users section. Your password will be e-mailed to you.

When I try to login, the screen flashes, but no error message appears.

There is sometimes a conflict between Internet Explore 6 and 3rd party cookies. The following steps can be taken to alleviate the problem while maintaining the default security setting.

Choose Tools from the menu bar on your browser
Select Internet Options
Select the Privacy tab
Select the Edit button in the 'Web Sites' section
In the 'Address of Web site:' field, type 'jobsniper.com'
Select the Allow button to its immediate right
Select the OK button
Select the OK button again
Try to log into your search agent account at www.jobsniper.com/php/login.php.

When I try to login, I am told my e-mail address is not registered.

This error occurs when the e-mail you entered in the 'Registered Users:' section isn't recognized as a valid e-mail address. Make sure that you type the e-mail address exactly as you did when registering, duplicating capitalization exactly.
If you have not registered, created an account first.
To create an account, go to www.jobsniper.com/php/login.php and follow the on screen instructions under the "New to JobSniper?" area.

When I try to login, an "Incorrect Password." error appears.

This error occurs when you have entered the wrong password. If you have forgotten your password, choose the Forgot your password? link on the Search Agent login page beneath the Returning Users section. Your password will be e-mailed to you.

How do I stop search agents from sending me results?

To stop search agents from sending results, log into your account and deactivate or delete your Search Agents.

What is the Career Evaluation?

The Career Evaluation is an in-depth analysis of your current career situation and helps you to evaluate your networking skills and market preparedness.

How do I access my Career Evaluation results?

Once you have completed your Career Evaluation, the results are e-mailed directly to the account you indicated during the assessment.

How do I become an Advertiser?
